Sayan is an lecturer in the Information Technology Division at Maejo University in Chiangmai, Thailand. He graduated in Computer Science from Maejo University, Chiangmai, Thailand (1996 - 1999). He obtained the MSc degree in Computer Science from Chiangmai University, Chiangmai, Thailand (2000 - 2003). He worked as a temporary lecturer in Computer Science Department at Maejo University (2003-2004). Then, he worked as a lecturer in the Information Technology Division at Maejo University (2004-2010). He obtained the PhD degree in the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at the University of Queensland, Australia (2011-2015).

Sayan's major areas of research interests and expertise include : Social Networks Analysis, Data Mining and Database Systems.
